Jennifer Aniston turned heads at Elle’s Women in Hollywood event on Monday, giving fans a stylish reminder of her beloved Friends character, Rachel Green.
The Morning Show star, 56, arrived as one of the evening’s honorees and chose a look that perfectly captured her timeless aesthetic.
Aniston wore a vintage full-length Ralph Lauren black dress featuring a halter neckline and a subtle shimmer that added an elegant, romantic touch. She completed the look with her signature middle part and sleek, golden hair falling just past her shoulders.
The choice of designer appeared to nod directly to Rachel Green, who famously worked as a buyer for Ralph Lauren on the hit sitcom. Aniston has long embraced the nostalgia surrounding Rachel, including conversations about the character’s iconic hairstyle.
She recently reflected on the memorable choppy shoulder-length cut known as “the Rachel,” telling Elle, “It had a beautiful six months that’s lasted 30 years.”
She previously shared a similar thought in a 2013 interview with Marie Claire, saying that “’The Rachel’ was … horrible and … high maintenance,” despite its enduring popularity.
Although Aniston posed alone on the red carpet, her boyfriend, hypnotherapist Jim Curtis, was expected to be by her side at the event.
People magazine confirmed their relationship in July, and earlier this month a source shared that Aniston is “very happy and in a great place” with him. “She’s been glowing. Everything in her life has come together and she’s excited about it. Jim’s the best,” the source said, adding that Aniston’s friends “love him” and admire his warm, steady presence.
According to the source, Curtis is “fascinated by her career — both as an actress and businesswoman — and loves being by her side to support her.” They added that he fits effortlessly into her social circle and that the relationship “feels light, natural and really good,” which is “exactly where she wants to be right now.”
